Project packet concepts in 2008

Invent and re-invent is key to offering good services to current and new clients. These are the ideas of Swordfish Media with new service Swordfish Interim. Teams can be hired per hour with the Project Packet Concepts. Art Directors, Project Managers, Designers, Copywriters and Flash Programmers and Editorial Professionals are available on an individual or team basis.

Sounds a little like a freelance agency?
"Helemaal niet " says Olaf Haarsma Co Founder and Creative Director. "Agencies often need Art Directors for short term projects. Freelance agencies such as Roughmen hire them at a dime adozen. No problem when you need one specific creative. But freelance teams as extensive and experienced as our Swordfish Interim’s are hard to find. Our teams know how to work together, understand the industry and most importantly are self-contained so they can project manage their workflow, deadlines and deliverables. On top of this all companies whichever industry they are in can utilise Swordfish Interim"

And what about the price then?
The teams vary from 2 - 5 specialists depending on the needs of the client. It's also possible to hire just an Art Director, Designer or Project Manager, but we're not talking about teams then ;-) "Companies can hire a team of 2 starting from 180 euro an hour. Preferably we create an estimate based on the requirements of the client and give an overall budget of the time and costs required." But Swordfish Media doesn't think this service is expensive. "We are not out to rip companies off. There's competition from smaller bureaus who could probably offer the same work for a lot less, but whether the client receives the quality and experience and is able to have the guarantee that their project is professionally managed is another thing all together. My suggestion is for companies to experience Swordfish today."

Swordfish Media launches Mini

"Why exclude the smaller fishes when we all want to achieve the same thing" Says co-founder Moriam Haarsma when asked about the motivation to offer services to starters.

Freelancing, going out on your own or small partnerships have the potential to expand a network. Whether it's on a financial scale or purely for brand awareness you can't fail if you tell enough people about your product. We all know that mouth-to-mouth advertising works the best of all so why not use it.

But what can Swordfish offer the small fish? We know what it’s like to have to start an own business and understand that communications, although extremely important, often get neglected by the starters purely because they see this as a last minute "fix me an identity" thing. They're simply too busy searching for the next client. Quite rightly too, but if you look like s*** no-one will come to you. It's a double edged sword because it's often very expensive to get a good corporate identity made professionally and utterly necessary if you want to succeed. Swordfish Mini wants to take away the painful elements and, if you like, support the starters through a kind of sponsoring where our junior teams develop professional identities under supervision from our top talents and the starters get a great house style for a pittance!

Is there a fear of not being taken seriously by the bigger fishes? Of course not, I don't think big clients are that pretentious and if so, they shouldn't come to Swordfish. Our whole mission is to be real. We don't do fake or try to pretend to be something we're not. This is why we set up Mini and didn't launch this service under another name. That would be chicken s***... But we also want to show some kind of support for new businesses who, like us, have had to start somewhere. Of course we increase our popularity and can use our Mini clients to help us expand our clients' work. You scratch my back I’ll scratch yours...we're not stupid you know
