How Social Media Guidelines should be
TNT Social Media Guidelines
This is the Official document made by TNT and it is really interesting bacause the guidelines apply to employees’ personal use of social media, and are designed to
- explain what social media are and why using them is a good idea;
- help and encourage, by offering practical advice on how to interact online;
- create awareness among employees that their actions and behaviour affect TNT’s reputation, even outside the workplace.
The most interesting thing is that TNT decided to share online this document with everyone :)

Social Media Press Kit - Start using Social Media
Just a quick post to tell you about an update of one of our social media tools.
It’s our version of the Social Media Release, only this time we’ve created a platform, with more features and flexibility than anyone is yet to create and of one which everyone can utilize to get those bloggers and journalist listening to and writing about you.
We call it the Social Media Press Kit (SMPK).
If you’ve not embraced Social Media yet, then it’s about time… and this is how…
Our press release (of course our Social Media Press Release) can be found at http://smpk.socialmediapresskit.com (in Dutch and English)
We’ve added a few references so you can see who else uses our SMPK.
And in true Swordfish style, we’ve added a quick video demonstration too
Let us know what you think. We love to hear your thoughts!

There'always time to vote
Even if you are followed by a killer
Even if you are at the Tour de France
Even if you are making a bank robbery
...and even if the European Parliament use an old fashion Social Network to communicate it :)

Swordfish Media develop Social Media Press Release

Swordfish Media and Fleishman Hillard have developed and launched a Social Media Press Release (SMPR) tool - with a difference! The first client to utilise the tool is Nokia with the launch of their Nokia 5800 Xpress Music 'phone.
The SMPR has been developed for journalists and bloggers and offers official textual, photographic and video material which can be easily downloaded at high quality, collaborated for future reference or added to social bookmarking sites such as Del.i.cious, Technorati, Facebook and more.
Fleishman Hillard asked Swordfish Media to develop the design and technical implementation for the SMPR tool. The objective was to create a tool which is not only functional but unlike other social media pr tools, create a pleasing design experience for the journalists and bloggers which use it.
This is Nokia's first press release using social media as a tool. In the future Fleishman Hillard will utilise this SMPR tool to present new products within the social media networking arena.
The SMPR tool can be viewed and used at the Nokia Social Media site
